Owen Creek Campground is nestled among pine trees and grassy areas where wildflowers abound with its namesake creek running through and providing a soothing background symphony for a peaceful stay. Moose are commonly seen in, and around, the camp throughout the summer. In late summer campers can watch sheep herders and their dogs attend sheep herds as they graze in the surrounding forest and meadows. ATV trails that afford spectacular views begin nearby. The camp's eight sites can accommodate small- to mid-size RV’s and tents.
Highway 14A, from Lovell, is extremely steep, a 10-percent grade and more, is winding, has several hairpin turns, and many blind corners. This is a challenging road during the summer season.
