Lost Cabin
Lost Cabin Campground is a quiet gem, nestled in the lodge pole pines with stream and lake fishing nearby as well as access to ATV, hiking, and biking trails. It is ideally located for scenic and wildlife viewing. This is one of only a few campgrounds that allows a 30 days stay and offers pull-throughs. A 2-mile loop trail cross country hike to Crazy Woman Creek is accessed through people gates in the campground fence.
THINGS TO KNOW
Getting Here:
Highway 14A, from Lovell, is extremely steep, a 10-percent grade and more, is winding, has several hairpin turns, and many blind corners. This is a challenging road during the summer season.
Weather:
You are at high elevations here in the Bighorn Mountains. Remember to bring warming clothing for evenings as it can become chilly.
Don't Move Firewood:
Prevent the spread of tree-killing pests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site.

Two non-towed vehicles may be parked per site. The first vehicle is included in the basic fee; the second vehicle is charged an extra fee collected at the campground.

CLIMATE
TEMPERATURES
Spring temperatures range from 60°-70° F for the highs and 30°-45° F for the lows. Summer highs are in the 70°-80° F range with the lows reaching into the 40° F range.
RAINFALL
Most rain comes in May and June but come prepared for showers as they can happen all summer long.
SNOWFALL
Snow should be out of the mountains by early to mid May and shouldn't come around again until late September.
